Google Nexus S To Be New Released In Canada Via Mobilicity
Thursday, 20 January 2011
Here is good news for folks who are living in Canada. The Google Nexus S will be available in that region in March 2011. According to Mobilicity CEO Dave Dobbin, the handset will be available on the company’s AWS band. Additionally, Bell, Telus, and Rogers will also carry the Nexus S. Too bad, there is no info on pricing at this moment. Stay tuned for more updates!
Nexus S is heading to Canada via Mobilicity. Dave Dobbin, the CEO of Mobilicity said the Android 2.3 power handset will be available on the company’s AWS band. However, he did mention several others carriers such as Bell.
Canadians are eagerly awaiting the arrival of the highly touted Google Nexus-S. The Nexus-S went on sale in the US on the 16th of December and is set to be released in the UK on the 20th of the month. The US pricing is set at $199 with a two-year T-Mobile contract or $529 unlocked at Best Buy.
Google Canada spokeswoman Wendy Rozeluk said the company is looking to bring Nexus S to more countries, including Canada, but as of Tuesday, it had no specific information on that issue.
There’s been some rumors floating around the web about BestBuy Canada selling the Nexus-S, I think some people might have misread some headlines that mentioned Best Buy US selling the Nexus-s.
So there you have it as of this article being written there is no official release date, my assumption is we will hear some sort of official announcement in late January.
